Penders Park - Your Park Your Way

Penders Park Entry

Over the past year, Darebin Council has been working with a Project Control Group (PCG) made up of local residents to design and develop the Penders Park Master Plan.

The master plan communicates proposed improvements to the park as part of a greater vision that is inclusive, sustainable and welcoming.

At its Council Meeting on Wednesday 6 November 2019, Council adopted the Penders Park Master Plan, following community consultation.

Thank you to all of you who provided feedback on the draft Penders Park Master Plan. We have reviewed all of this feedback and incorporated some great suggestions into the master plan.

A special thank you goes out to the Project Control Group, for coming together to provide invaluable community insights and for their time, energy and commitment in co-creating this master plan for Penders Park.

Building a new All Abilities playspace at Penders Park

We are excited to announce that works to deliver the first stage of the new All Abilities Playspace at Penders Park has commenced.

This new playground was a key project in the newly created Penders Park Master Plan and was adopted by Council in November 2019. This master plan was a unique culmination of local residents and Council working collaboratively to redesign Penders Park.

The new All Abilities Playspace will feature a sensory play area, discovery walk, new swing sets catering to children of all abilities, accessible cubby house, sandpit and more. New trees and garden beds will be planted throughout the playground area, and more seating areas and community spaces will be delivered across Penders Park.

The works will take approximately 12-14 weeks to complete, weather permitting.
