Darebin Safe Travel Strategy 2018-2028

This project has concluded.

Everyone in Darebin uses our paths and roads at some point, whether that is to walk somewhere, ride a bicycle, scoot, skate, roll or rollerskate, or drive.

Darebin's Safe Travel Strategy 2018-2028 is being developed to assist people of all ages to be free to travel on road and path networks safely and with confidence. The Strategy responds to the increase in walking and other low-impact modes of travel in Darebin.

We would like to hear from you to assist us in developing the first 5-year Action Plan. Check out our draft Safe Travel Strategy and tell us what type of traveller you are, and what types of issues you have when getting around by your preferred mode of transport.

The Safe Travel Strategy 2018-2028 builds on the positive work of the previous Safe Travel Strategy 2011-2015 which saw significant reductions in fatal and serious crashes on our roads, close partnerships with schools to improve safety for vulnerable road users, reducing speed limits in our local streets, and much more.

Final Strategy now available
