See the right hand column which features Current Consultation Projects. Click into these project pages to have your say on important strategic planning projects including planning scheme amendments. This column also features Past Consultation Projects. While these projects, including planning scheme amendments, are no longer on consultation, they continue to contain relevant information and updates.

  • Amendment GC42 - Current Status of Amendment

    Darebin and Manningham Councils on 18th April 2016 and 26th April 2016 respectively, considered all submissions received in relation to the GC42 amendment and resolved to request that the Minister for Planning appoint an Independent Panel under Part 8 of the Planning and Environment Act 1987, to consider all submissions.

  • Amendment C156 - Neighbourhood Residential Zone (Ministerial Amendment Request)

    Information relating to proposed Ministerial Amendment C156 has been added to the Your Say Darebin website - full details are available here. This Amendment was presented to Council at the Meeting of 4 April 2016, and will be acted upon once the Council minutes have been ratified. Please note this Amendment is to be submitted directly to the Minister for approval and as such there is no public consultation or opportunity for submissions.

  • Amendment C136 delayed

    Due to a pending legal matter, Council has not been able to submit the adopted Amendment C136 to the Minister for Planning to date. Council is currently working on resolving the matter and will provide an update once more information becomes available. In the meantime, C136 will need to be considered alongside the current Planning Scheme requirements. The adopted documents and Council changes are in the Council Minutes from the 7 September 2015.

  • Amendment C137 sent to Minister for Planning for Consideration of Approval

    Amendment C137 (Plenty Road Corridor and the Junction) has been sent to the Minister for Planning to request their approval of the amendment. The documentation was submitted on the 15th December 2015. The Minister may make a decision within 3 months, but the exact timing is not known to Council.   • Minister for Planning Approves Amendment C147

    On the 15th October 2015 the Minister for Planning approved Amendment C147, which means the Residential Growth Zone and Garden Apartment Typology now apply to four key areas of Darebin. For details see here.

  • Amendment C133 (Part 1) approved

    Amendment C133 (Part 1) has been approved by the Minister for Planning. The Amendment corrects a number of errors and anomalies within the planning scheme. It came into effect on 13 August 2015.

  • Council defers decision on Amendments C136 and C137

    At the meeting on 17th August 2015, Council deferred its decision on Amendments C136 and C137. Council is seeking further information on the amendments, which will be provided through a further briefing.

    The Amendments will be considered again on 7th September 2015. The report and all amendment documentation will be available on the Council web site from the afternoon of the 4th of September.
